1. What is the difference between Eau De Toilette and Eau De Parfum?
A. These terms refer to the strength of the fragrance, or more specifically, to how much high-grade alcohol and/or water has been added to the fragrance oils. Parfum is generally the most concentrated form. Eau De Toilette is the lighter of the two, usually including between 5-15% of essential perfume oil. Eau De Parfum usually has around 10-20% perfume oil and so is a much stronger blend.
2. Why do perfumes smell different on different people?
A. Your own body chemistry affects how different notes react on the skin. Anything that affects the “natural” smell of your skin, such as stress, hormonal changes, your current diet or medications, might change how a perfume smell on you.
3. Where should I apply my perfume?
Where the skin is especially warm and where there is good blood circulation. This is because heat helps diffuse and magnify the aroma of fragrance. The “pulse points” on the body are the perfect activators for perfume. Because fragrance rises, it should be applied to several pulse points – not just, for instance, at the base of the throat.
4. How can I make my perfume last longer on my skin?
A. Perfumes evaporate more rapidly from dry skin, so the best way to make fragrance last longer is to use a body lotion or cream, you can also try petroleum jelly or jojoba oil?. Spritz a little bit to your hair, it holds the scent longer than skin.
5. How should I store my perfume?
Keep your fragrances in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Extreme heat or cold will upset the delicate balance of the oils and change their scent.
